Recently, I came across a blog produced by a young lady named Karen Flowers, who calls herself “The Resume Chick” and provides resume writing services for clients. After reading some of her entries, I’ve become a big fan of her site. I know that she’s technically a competitor of mine because we both offer resume review and advisory services, but game recognizes game and her resume advice game is strong. She’s providing her readers with some great tips and, as my long-time readers know, I care more about passing along useful information to my readers than holding that info back because it came from someone offering similar services…I play nicely in the “business playground” B-)

On her site, The Resume Chick posts lots of career search advice, insights about what employers are seeking, and, most importantly, very detailed tips on ways that people can improve their resumes. Below, I’ve provided a link to one of her articles that was especially interesting because it lays out a fundamental to build a strong resume. In fact, I pass along similar advice to people who are creating a resume for the first time. I think Karen’s post will be especially interesting to those of you who are currently in school or are approaching some sort of career transition. Enjoy!
