You know, with that said, it’s been pretty tough to be on the other side of the consulting game because I had several friends interview with the Firm and some of them didn’t make it through to a successful end. I’ve talked to several of them since and I know that things are still cool between us, but it’s still a little awkward when I think about how it all panned out. In addition to my peoples, there were plenty of other kids I met while recruiting that I liked, but things just didn’t work out for them. Regardless of what happened, I’ve got my fingers crossed for them and hope I can be helpful as they continue their job searches. To everyone else out there who might not have hit a few bumps in the road during full-time recruiting, keep your head up and know that there is a great opportunity waiting out there for you. Also, know that the skills you’ve learned while preparing for the consulting firm interviews can be transferable to a variety of settings, including interviewing with firms in other industries, in the classroom, and when making strategic decisions in an entrepreneurial setting…the sky’s the limit in terms of decision making effectiveness if you know how to think in a structured way.
With the summer internship recruiting season coming up in January, I’ve been cranking to add some content to the consulting case prep guide that I wrote and, hot off the presses, here is the updated version of the presentation:
I used the version that I posted back in August as a foundation and I added a few more sections that I thought would be helpful after thinking through the recruiting process again. As always, if you’ve got any feedback about how I can improve the content in these slides, let me know…

Great! Man! Hard to believe you’re still perfecting that!!

super useful, to-the-point and informative. thanks =)
Really great work. Thanks.
Just one comment. On Page 17,you estimate 37% of 25000.
I would first get 40% of 25000(10K) and then substract 3% of 25000(750). 9250. This method helps me a lot with quick calculations, wanted to mention.
Hope to see more of your insights about consulting industry in this blog.
Cheers.
