Conversation with Kevin Gao, Entrepreneur and Former McKinsey Consultant

In the video below, I’ll be introducing you to Kevin Gao, a former McKinsey Consultant who chose the path of entrepreneurship after leaving The Firm. His first venture was a company called Management Consulted that offers information about all things having to do with pursuing a career in Management Consulting. He started the business off as a website providing general information, but, over time, he evolved the business and started offering interview and resume preparation services along with specific case studies and job search strategies. Now, he’s working on a somewhat stealth-mode startup in the digital publishing space called Hyper Ink. He’ll tell you more about how companies in the interview.

I first connected with Kevin over a year ago when he approached me about doing an interview on Management Consulted. That was the first time that I’d been interviewed about my business experience before, so I jumped at the chance to do it. We had a lot of fun during the discussion and, in fact, Kevin’s interview of me is still bringing new visitors to this site now after all of this time. Kevin and I have stayed in touch since then and it was a pleasure to be able to return the favor and feature him in my “Conversation” interview series.
