What’s up, y’all. If you look at the links to the right of this blog page, you’ll notice a couple of new links that’ll give you some other MBA and Stanford viewpoints. Here’s a little more information on those links:

——–
The first site is a directory of blogs across genres and Stanford-associated parties (faculty, staff, students, and alums). I didn’t even know the directory existed until I was contacted by the school’s Director of Internet Media Outreach with an invitation to have mine added to it. The link is http://blog.stanford.edu and it’s got a bunch of individual blogs that could provide a perspective across programs at Stanford University.

“Hi Marquis,

I wanted to invite you to submit your blog to the Stanford Blog Directory ( http://blog.stanford.edu). We’re trying to help raise the exposure of blogs by Stanford students, faculty, staff, and alumni – and you’re more than welcome to add your blog to the directory. Just click on “Submit a blog” and fill out the form, and I’ll make sure your blog is added.

Cheers, IH

The second blog site was put together by a group of kids from Vanderbilt’s Owen School of Management and they’ve got an interesting “hook” to their site. Each of the bloggers is a relatively young MBA student (some who are even straight-out-of-undergrad) and they’re presenting the B-school experience from the perspective of a youngin’. The URL to their site is http://www.youngmba.net and the blogs in it are a great read for young MBA applicants.

“I am a first-year MBA student at Vanderbilt University – Owen Graduate School of Management. Being one of the very few students in my program who has been admitted right out of college, I realize the challenges young MBA applicants face during the admissions process. Hence, I have recently created a student-run blog – www.youngmba.net – where we share our experiences with the application process and the business school life with young prospective students.

This is a non-profit project as our purpose is only to help young prospective MBA students to better understand the admissions process and the life at business school.

Although my site is quite young, it has generated some interest from my faculty and sources such as The MBA Tour. I was wondering if you could add a link to my site under your site’s Links section (as I will do the same) to connect our sites in an efficient way?

Thank you for your time and attention.

Sincerely,

‘SS’
