A major component of this site is a weblog that has had several lives, from its start as a featured MBA applicant/student blog on a separate site to its own presence on the Blogger system and now to its own domain as my personal website.
As you read through the entries, you'll see me go through three distinct phases in my life:
- Pre-MBA experience: Experiences that one typically goes through before matriculating at business school
- Life as an MBA student: Highs and lows of my time as a student at the Stanford Graduate School of Business in much more detail than most would expect to see
- Post-MBA life...and serving as a career/education/life coach to the masses: Responses to questions emailed to me by readers, where I use what I have learned through my own missteps and experiences to help others achieve their goals and avoid making the same misstepsÂ
Questions from an MBA aspirant planning to apply directly after undergrad
What's going on, y'all. Since coming back from India, I've been trying to get my mental clock back in order, but it sure has been difficult. I've usually done OK with recovering from spending a few days in a far-away time zone, but coming back from a nine-day trip is...
Questions on MBA admissions from an aspirant with little work experience
Hello all. I hope you're all enjoying your weekend and are ready to start another work-week. As for me, I'm finally getting over the effects of jetlag from my trip to India and have checked the Inbox for this blog...whew, I have received quite a few emails in the past...
Back from vacation with some nice reader emails waiting for me
Hey, everybody. I know it's been a while since I posted an entry, but that's because I've been out of the country on vacation for the past nine days. I took a MAJOR trip out to India to attend the wedding of two of my Stanford GSB classmates and do some traveling in...
Lots of questions from an applicant interested in Stanford GSB
Hello all. I hope you're enjoying your Sunday and have had a nice weekend so far. I had planned to post this entry yesterday, but, with it being Valentine's Day, I figured that no one would have seen it until today anyway. Besides, I'm not exactly a huge fan of V-Day...
Letting you know about another interview I completed…this time for TotalGadha.com

Shouting out another blog from a friend…
Almost exactly a year ago today, I posted an entry to inform you guys about a new blog that my man Jullien from Stanford GSB had started as his way to help people find their purpose in life (Link to that entry). I was initially impressed with Jullien's blog because he...
Question about whether consulting can lead to entrepreneurship
[NOTE: I originally started typing this on Sunday night after the Super Bowl, but got caught up on the phone before I finished. I just now wrapped it up, so that's why the intro paragraph seems like it came from a few days ago.]What's good, fam. So, I probably should...
Interesting new blog about Marketing from one of my Stanford GSB classmates
What's up, folk. This is sort of a "drive-by" entry to let you know about a great new blog that was launched recently. The author of the blog is my man Detavio, who some of my long-time readers may recognize as my roommate for two years at Stanford GSB. Marketing has...
Inquiry about the "save the world" ethic at the GSB
So, I didn't exactly get new posts up in three consecutive days over the weekend like I wanted to, but at least I'm getting three real ones (I won't count my request for the hook-up on that MP3) posted within a seven-day period. I've been diving into the new gig...
