This is going to be a really short entry because my first day in the office was rather uneventful. I’m starting out “on the beach”, which is a consulting term for “unstaffed”. Over the weekend, I was a little bummed about that, but, in hindsight, it was good because it gave me a chance to do a lot of little things like get my voicemail set up, find a doctor, sign up for rental car loyalty programs, and find a real estate agent (to save me from the drama I wrote about in my last post). That time on the beach may end soon though because I got an email from an Engagement Manager who is interested in bringing me on her project, so my next post may be a notice that I’ve got something to work on starting next week 🙂

Before I roll, I wanted to drop a link to the consulting preparation slides that I created about a month ago. I’ve already emailed these to about 50 folks so I could get feedback and I think they’re ready for me to put out here for people to download whenever they’re ready to jump into the consulting game. If you’ve got any feedback about how I can improve it after reading the content, please leave a message to let me know. Here are the slides
