What’s going on. This entry is going to be a short one, but it seems necessary to post. As you know, I’ve been doing this blog for a while to help people and, to be honest, it makes me feel good to be helping folks. Unfortunately, requests for help can sometimes go too far and a recent email from a reader motivated me write this post. Rather than going into details, I will just state that I am not willing to answer questions from business school applications. Business school applications are supposed to represent the applicants own perspective on a variety of topics and it isn’t right for me to weigh in. Please be mindful of this going forward.

looks like someone asked you write an essay, that’s funny. how has work been ? any chance you visiting chicago sometime, give me a buzz…
What’s up, FG. Your guess is correct and it made me stop that sort of thing before it had a chance to get started. I hope Univ of Chicago is going well for you.
That’s just plain stupid. If I knew that said person was applying at my school, I’d feel obliged to let admissions know about that.
Jeff, you’ve got a point with that statement, but the guy wasn’t applying at my school, so I’m just going to keep it between me and him.
Ouch. Well I wouldn’t want you to stop advising the rest of us folks because of this….
Hey Marquis, Ive just been checking out MBA blogs for the first time and I really have to hand it to you, yours is great (not many ppl would take the time out to help complete strangers like this) Anyway, keep it up – its appreciated.
Hey, love the site Marquis. I’m just generally interested (excuse me if you’ve already answered this)but how many of your MBA classmates who started off interested in ‘non profit’ work ended up in that sector? Keep the posts coming!
