Hey, everyone. I hope you’ve all had a nice weekend. I’m writing this entry on a return flight from Las Vegas, where I spent the weekend kickin’ it and participating in some birthday celebrations for a young lady who has brought me a whole lot of smiles lately (Happy b-day, Dr. TB :-)). My plan was to go out there and get Oprah Winfrey rich in the casinos, but, sadly, I’m returning to Chicago without my Oprah-riches…in fact, I might as well be Bobby Brown broke, but I had a great time getting to that point. hahahahaha! 🙂

As my longtime readers know, I like to pass along word of cool new ventures started by my peoples to my readers in order to drive traffic and attention to them. This quick entry is one more of those instances where I pub my folk and their businesses. This time, I’m announcing a new start-up called VowDoo that was launched by a former colleague and seems like just what the doctor ordered for anyone in the process of planning a wedding. Check out the message below that he sent to me for more information and, if you know of any engaged couples out there, please let them know about VowDoo. Thanks, everyone.

“Marquis, thanks for your support. My software start-up, VowDoo.com, has developed an online wedding planning app that eliminates most of the frustrating, busy-work couples face when planning a wedding. The app is simple enough for even the least tech-savvy user, and flexible enough to suit the needs of Excel spreadsheet maestros. By using the app, couples will have considerably more time to spend on wedding activities they actually enjoy.

We are in private beta, and are looking for engaged couples to use the app and to provide feedback so that we can continue to refine it. The product is completely FREE right now. So please email your friends, post and FB status or do whatever you can to send people to www.VowDoo.com. If you have any questions, let me know.”
